
Forget what you’ve heard from late-night comics, that guy on the radio, or on social media making fun of people going gluten free. If you think you have gluten sensitivity because you have signs and symptoms, including bad skin, chronic fatigue, or digestive pain, then it’s probably not in your head. It really could be in your gut. A study has shown that people who don’t have the markers of celiac disease may still experience symptoms similar to those with the biological markers. Although it is still not known exactly why gluten causes health issues in people without celiac disease, what is clear is that gluten sensitivity affects more people than was previously thought.
