With all the conflicting reports out there about the effects coffee can have on health—both good and bad—it’s easy to just pay attention to the ones that validate your point of view on the drink. Devoted coffee drinkers are more likely to focus in on reports that note coffee’s positive effect on Alzheimer’s risk, for instance, rather than studies that say the drink can cause insomnia and anxiety.
