You may have been one of those lucky people who, in their youth, could eat massive quantities of just about anything without gaining an ounce. Even foods packed with sugar, carbs, and calories. But sometime in your 40s or 50s, perhaps, you started to notice that you were putting on weight. You weren’t eating more than usual or anything different, so that first additional 10 or so pounds probably came as a shock, but once you made the hard admission that you needed to lose weight, you probably tried a few diets.
